SHINJI
Shinji graduated from cosmetology school in Tokyo, Japan and spent 6 years as a stylist at a top-tier hair salon in Aoyama, Tokyo. He got solid experience as a hair stylist, but felt the need to plunge out of the islands and found himself in NYC with a suitcase in hand. After spending 8 years at several salons in NYC/NJ developing his skills in working with various kinds of hair, he finally made his life-long dream come true of opening his own little salon in NYC in 2015, and he owes it all to the amazing people he's met here at his second home. Thanks to SHAIR's wondrous location, Shinji is rarely found north of 14th street, unless he's headed to Home Depot to find things to DIY.
HIROMI
Hiromi joins us with 10+ years of hair experience in NYC. She's only available a few days a week since her CUTEY daughter needs her momma! Although a petite gal, Hiromi's huge positive energy lights up the whole salon. <3 When Hiromi isn't running around juggling work and her daughter, she can probably be found sneaking in a happy hour sesh somewhere with her friends or husband!
SAKI
Saki joined the SHAIR team at the beginning of 2018. She comes to us with over 10 years of experience in both Japan and NYC. Her knowledge about different hairstyles, color, and products is out of this world. Saki is a specialist in working with her clients to improve the style, health, and longevity of beautiful hair over the long term. You'll want to see her if you have never been sure about what to do with your hair! Saki's warmness, attentiveness, optimism, and humor is truly special, and she sets a great example of what the SHAIR fam is all about. We guarantee you'll love her! MAY (COLORIST)
May officially joined the SHAIR fam summer of 2018! May comes with incredible expertise as a colorist (she doesn't cut!). The first 10 years of her colorist career were spent in a top-tiered salon in Tokyo. After coming to NYC, she has spent another phenomenal 10 years at top salons building her experience with coloring hair of diverse clients. She is especially amazing at highlights and balayage, with exquisite control of intricate shades of hair color. Added perk: you can also spend your long-haul color appointments talking with her about all your favorite NYC restaurants as she's a huge foodie! Welcome to the fam, May, we're so lucky to work with you!!
SHUHEI
With over 12 years of styling experience in Tokyo and NYC, Shuhei has built a loyal following. His repertoire of diverse looks range from the boardroom to catwalk and everything in between. Shuhei loves getting to know his clients and takes time to understand just what they desire so he can make each person feel their absolute best. Prepare to meet your new best friend.
